Park Taehoon South Korean, b. 1993

Overview

Park Taehoon is an artist who explores ways in which the painted surface, even through repeated viewing, can continue to feel fresh and intriguing. Through layering and dividing the canvas, the artist expresses his worldview, known as "Parktaeria," and through the act of depicting numerous layers in the process of creating his works, he investigates and records this phenomenon as an observer. Born in 1993, Park Taehoon majored in Western painting at Chung-Ang University and continues to actively participate in various exhibitions.

The use of layers in Park Taehoon's artistic process involves capturing various landscapes on a single canvas, while the use of vibrant fluorescent colors renders nature even more surreal. The world we inhabit is a space where numerous phenomena occur simultaneously, constantly juxtaposing, colliding, integrating, and changing. While such collisions in the real world may cause confusion, on the artist's canvas, chaos is reborn as a vibrant and harmonious natural landscape.
